Crash course English in 8th grade!
(fr, 07-06-22) Like every year in June started the English Crash Course in the 8th grade on Monday. The first day the pupils practised grammar, reading, talking, writing and they played games. It was a funny day, they thought.
On Tuesday they had two special guests. Mister and Mrs Barrows came to our school. Mrs Barrows wanted to show the students a special apple programme. So they created in three hours the’Crash Song’. It was rather stressful for the students to hear only English and if they wanted to ask something, they had to talk English too, because Mister and Mister Barrows are native speakers, originally coming from Michigan, now living in Velburg for three years. Mr Barrows interviewed our students about their plans for future, because he is planning to write an article for the Bavarian News, the newspaper of the U.S. Army Garrisons Grafenwoehr, Hohenfels, Ansbach, Bamberg and Schweinfurt. On Wednesday and Thursday the pupils practised talking and on Friday they will have a second visit: Mr. Hayes, now living in Burglengenfeld comes to cook a delicious American breakfast with them.
